Teaching Methodology
The course has a practical slant that will allow all participants to develop their skills considerably through the use of an original and effective approach to Structural, Traditional, Scientific Osteopathy.
It is a simpler and gentler form of structural osteopathy, which reassures the patient and allows the practitioner to work more effectively. Each vertebra will be examined in detail in relation to its specific characteristics and in relation to the other vertebrae, for an extremely accurate and precise osteopathic procedure.
Who is it for?
- Expand their knowledge of the osteopathic manipulative approach
- Learn more about specific techniques for treating the spine
- Improve clinical efficacy in the treatment of disc dysfunctions and pain management
Course Programme
- Evaluation and diagnosis of disc dysfunctions: basic principles for the correct identification of disc problems and their clinical manifestations.
- Osteopathic manipulation techniques: methods and protocols for the treatment of the spine and pathologies related to the intervertebral disc.
- Pain and mobility management: strategies to alleviate pain and improve movement and the quality of life of patients.
- Clinical case and practice: practical application of techniques with analysis of real cases.

General Aims of the Course
During the course, in addition to anatomic-physiological information specific to the area under examination and useful for a better understanding of the topics, original diagnostic models and tests will be presented. Ample space will be given to how to master the different structural techniques, based on the patient’s different conditions.
The course will cover the topic of multidisciplinary approach, the importance of collaborating with the specialist (orthopaedic surgeon, neurosurgeon, etc.) and teamwork with other healthcare professionals (physiotherapist, etc.) to optimise treatment.
At the end of the 2-day course, participants will be able to competently perform a selection of manipulation techniques, adopt treatments appropriate to the needs of the patient and justified by knowledge of theoretical principles (indications, contraindications) – including the use of HVLA short lever, joint techniques, the application of MET techniques, Neurodynamics and Harmonic Techniques.
Thanks to the experience gained over the years working with many patients suffering from various functional disc dysfunctions, you will be taught useful tools that can be applied on a daily basis in your work.
